Meet our Speakers
Andreea Raicu, MD
Dr. Andreea Raicu, a dedicated breast oncology surgeon, began her academic journey at the University of Illinois, majoring in Biology and Spanish. She pursued her medical studies at the University of Chicago, followed by a residency in General Surgery at UIC. Dr. Raicu further specialized in Breast Oncologic Surgery during a fellowship at the University of California in Los Angeles. Currently serving as a surgeon at UChicago Advent Health in Hinsdale, Dr. Raicu is deeply passionate about women's health and its societal impact, both at the individual family level and across society. Her long-standing desire to organize an event dedicated to women's health is now realized with the support of ROCO.
Ana Pruteanu, RDN
Calin Caluser, MD
Dr. Caluser is a board-certified radiologist with more than 25 years of experience in Breast Imaging; he trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NY, and J. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. Dr. Caluser was Chairman of the Breast Imaging Service at the J. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago for 16 years, where he dedicated significant time to teaching the radiology residents. He is a practicing radiologist at Rush Copley Hospital in Aurora, IL. Dr. Caluser is also leading a medical technology startup company, MetriTrack Inc., which is focused on automatizing and standardizing breast ultrasound, where he is the founder and the author of the patent. Dr. Caluser is a long-time member of the Society of Breast Imaging and the Radiological Society of North America.
Anca Fodor Ciascaiu, "Breast Cancer Thriver"
Professionally experienced in early child education, project management and web development,
a curious mind, mother of a 4 year old, speaks Romanian, English and multiple professional languages, and more recently she also started speaking breast-cancer-ese.
Anca is going to share what she's learned since receiving her breast cancer diagnosis, because "this way, her experience won't have been lived in vain".
Dorin Ilie Acu, Phd
Dorin Ilie Acu is an entrepreneur, biomedical scientist, and system engineer driven by a passion for designing innovative systems that
enhance human and organizational lifespan and resilience. With an extensive clinical experience in intensive care units (ICU) and anesthesia
complemented by a strong foundation in biomedical sciences (PhD from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine), particularly cancer biology and neuroscience. Additionally, he has expertise in architecting cutting-edge IT systems that seamlessly integrate artificial intelligence (AI), biomedical research, genomics, electronic health records (EHR), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and intelligent cloud solutions – all built on open-source, private, and scalable platforms. Currently, Dorin is working on a health platform that will give 100% control to you for the data that harmoniously integrates all your physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and genomic data with environmental factors. The platform aims to give people real-time and historical access to their data that will help them live a fully healthy life crowned by joy, meaning, and longevity.
