Registration is now open for ROCO Chicago’s 2026–2027 Adult Romanian Language Program—a welcoming, structured learning experience designed for adults who want to begin learning Romanian, strengthen existing skills, or reconnect with their language and heritage.

ROCO continues to expand Romanian-language education as part of its broader ROCO EDU mission, which includes language learning, cultural education, and proficiency certification opportunities.

A Practical, Personalized Learning Experience

Our adult program focuses on real-life communication, conversation, vocabulary, grammar, listening, reading, and writing, while integrating Romanian culture and everyday language use.

For 2026–2027, participants can choose between:

  • Small-group lessons — maximum 4 participants

  • Private lessons upon request

  • 10-session learning modules

  • Placement based on current Romanian proficiency and individual goals

Whether you understand Romanian but hesitate to speak, are starting from the beginning, or want to improve your fluency, our instructors will help you build confidence step by step.

Structured Progress. Meaningful Connection.

The program builds on ROCO’s evolving approach to Romanian-language education, with learning guided by structured proficiency development and the CEFR framework.

ROCO’s partnership with Babeș-Bolyai University and ILR-LE has strengthened our educational pathway—from language learning to formal competency assessment. ROCO became the first Romanian community center in the U.S. certified as a Romanian-language competency testing center and held its first official certification session in 2025.

Our teaching team brings experience, cultural knowledge, and an interactive, learner-centered approach to every session.

Tuition

The 2026–2027 program is organized in 10-session modules. Tuition varies depending on final class size and instructor rate and will be communicated directly once groups are formed. Private lessons are also available upon request.
