ROCO Teens is where Romanian-American high schoolers in the Chicago area come together to connect🤝, celebrate their heritage, and develop as future leaders 🌟. Through meet-ups, internships, and volunteering and community events, you’ll explore new interests, make friends, and strengthen your sense of identity and belonging. ROCO Chicago has also offered internship opportunities for the ROCO Teens members within our Edu 📚, Sports ⚽, Business 💼, and Arts 🎨 chapters, giving you real-world experience in teamwork, event planning, and community engagement. These programs help you build leadership and communication skills that extend beyond ROCO — preparing you to take on future roles in the Romanian Diaspora within the Romanian United Foundation (RUF) Youth organization and to earn recognition through the Romanian American Heritage National Awards🏅.
New this year, the IMPACT Club 💪 has welcomed both teens and pre-teens. Teen participants (ages 13+) focused on leadership, project management, and civic engagement through hands-on community service and collaboration. The Pre-Teen group (ages 10+) built confidence, teamwork, and cultural awareness while learning the value of making a difference💖.
