About the speaker Adriana Preda

Adriana Preda is a seasoned strategist and social entrepreneur with over a decade of experience leading high-impact initiatives in social and educational empowerment. As the first Romanian Obama Scholar at Columbia University—an honor awarded to only 12 global changemakers annually—she deepened her expertise in public policy, international development, and nonprofit management. Adriana’s academic journey includes an LLM in International Arbitration from the University of Bucharest and executive education from Columbia University, complemented by specialized training in social innovation and impact measurement at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

As CEO and Executive Board Member of The Social Incubator, Adriana spearheaded the organization’s expansion across 38 counties in Romania and into Moldova and the United States, where she established a New York chapter. Under her leadership, the NGO directly impacted over 65,000 vulnerable individuals, raised more than $6 million for social initiatives, and launched four major digital platforms focused on education and professional development. In addition to her NGO leadership, she has held advisory roles at the Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations and with the Romanian United Foundation (RUF), advancing policy advocacy and sustainable development initiatives.

Currently, Adriana balances her role on The Social Incubator’s Executive Board with strategic consultancy work across the EU and the US. She is also launching social businesses in Central and Eastern Europe and the United States, focusing on Corporate Shared Value (CSV) models that build strategic partnerships between civil society organizations and private companies to drive sustainable, scalable social impact.
