    ROCO is currently seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented rookie volunteer event planner to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about event planning and looking to gain hands-on experience while contributing to the success of our community foundation's events and initiatives.


    Job Title: Event Guide (Part Time/Paid)

    Responsibilities


    As a part-time paid event coordinator, you will be responsible assisting the event planning team with the development and execution of community foundation events, such as fundraisers, networking events, workshops, and conferences. Your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

    1. Supplies: Researching and identifying potential event venues, vendors, and suppliers, as well as assisting in the negotiation of contracts and agreements.
    2. Budgets: Helping with the creation and management of event budgets, ensuring that expenses are tracked and controlled.

    3. Coordination: Supporting the coordination of event logistics, such as transportation, parking, cleaning and accommodations for attendees, speakers, or performers.

    4. Scheduling: Helping with the management of event schedules and timelines, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and on time.

    5. Setup: Assisting with on-site event management, including setup, coordination with vendors, and addressing any issues that may arise during the event.

    Additional Tasks:

    1. Administration: making sure the center is supplied and ready for events at all times
    2. Marketing: Assisting with event promotion and marketing efforts (creating and distributing promotional materials, updating the website and social media channels).

    3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

    4. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality events.

    5. Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required for event planning and execution.

    6. Familiarity with social media platforms and basic marketing principles is a plus.

    The following tasks may be to some extent included in this position.

    1. Planning: Collaborating with team members to brainstorm event ideas, themes, and concepts in line with the foundation's mission and goals.

    2. Post-event: Participating in post-event tasks, such as collecting feedback from attendees, evaluating event success, and providing reports to the foundation team.

    3. Strategy: Attending regular team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of the foundation's event planning processes and strategies.
