Mihaela is a founding member of RUF and serves as the primary link between RUF and its Romania-based community partners. With a background in Social Work and Business Administration, she lived in the U.S. for 12 years before returning to Romania to follow her passion for social work in her home country and and contribute to the civic engagement of the Diaspora.

At RUF, she leads partnerships in Romania—sourcing high-impact projects that align with RUF’s vision, ensuring strategic fit and grants compliance, and cultivating strong relationships across the nonprofit sector.

Mihaela also co-founded the Spera Foundation, a nonprofit partnered with World Vision, which provides small, high-impact scholarships for underprivileged children. Deeply committed to civic participation, she sees the Diaspora’s collective action as a historic opportunity to shape Romania’s future.
