    As organizers of this event, we believe that there is a path moving forward where our community works together. The 2023 Summit Leadership Council is an open list, that any community leader can join. Learn more.

    We believe that it's important to put behind what divides us and focus on what brings us together. We also believe that it all starts with ourselves, and if we want the community, Romanians in general, to work together, it starts inside each and every one of us.

  • In other words, "Why should you join?"

    The answer is simple. Three reasons:

    • Information
      • Find out about important programs that could benefit you and/or your community
        • Grants, awards, and scholarships, among other things
    • Networking
      • Unique chance to meet and create relationships with community leaders
    • Promotion
      • Get your word out there, create awareness about your own programs and events

  • The Summit Leadership Council Members work closely with the Romanian Community Foundation (ROCO) and other partners to plan and execute the summit, ensuring that it is a meaningful and impactful event for all who attend. Through their leadership and collaboration, the Leadership Council is helping to build a stronger and more connected Romanian community in Chicago.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Recommending the best panelists, moderators, and fellow council members
    • Actively participating in one event preparation Zoom call
    • Participating in the Summit
