ROCO became a Math Kangaroo Testing Center in the Fall of 2022. We are happy to announce this will be the third year that your kid(s) can participate in the Math Kangaroo contest by taking the annual test at our community center. 

2025 Math Kangaroo Registration

To register your child/children for the 2025 competition to be held on March 20, 2025, please follow this link - please use ROCOCHICAGO@MK2025 for the Invitation Code. Regular MK student registration is open from Sep 15 until Dec 31, 2024; late registration closes on Feb 1, 2025. However, the number of seats is limited, so secure one for your child soon.

What is Math Kangaroo?

Math Kangaroo is an annual international mathematical competition for thousands of students in grades 1-12. Math Kangaroo's focus is on improving students' math scores and teaching them new strategies for solving word and logic problems, helping them with critical thinking and gaining confidence in the classroom. The contest was started in Australia in 1980 and brought to Chicago in 1998. Held as an in-person exam every year since 1998, it grew to 31,837 participants in 2019. Due to Covid, it has also been offered online, and in 2020, the numbers climbed to 35,171 participants. In 2024, a record 38,151 students participated in this contest.
