5K Walk/Run & 1-Mile Fun Run
Welcome to the inaugural "Ana's Memory 5K Fun Run"! Today, we lace up our shoes not only to celebrate the spirit of our beloved Ana but also to unite in the fight against cancer. As we gather here, we carry the memories of Ana in our hearts, honoring her courageous battle with DIPG ( pediatric brain cancer) and all those who are currently facing the challenges of any other form of cancer.
Ana's light continues to shine brightly as we embark on this journey together, running not just for ourselves, but for the countless individuals whose lives have been touched by cancer. Today is not just about crossing the finish line; it's about crossing boundaries, defying odds, and making a difference. As we run, jog, or walk side by side, let us remember that every stride we take brings us closer to a future where cancer no longer holds power over us.
So, let's lace up, raise our voices, and run with purpose. Together, we can make a difference. This year, we honor Ana's memory by supporting others affected by cancer: Sofia (DIPG) and Codru ( breast cancer). Thank you for joining us on this meaningful journey. Let's make this first edition of "From Ana Banana with Love 5K run/walk and 1 mile Fun Run" a testament to the strength of community and the power of hope.
Our goal is to transform grief into action by annually bringing our community together to honor their memories, raise awareness, and support those fighting cancer. This year, we focus on supporting Sofia Maria Ghita and Codruta Trif, with aspirations to broaden our impact in the future.
Registration
- 5K/1Mile: The package will include a T-shirt and the tracking number. Also, each participant will receive a medal of participation upon completion of the race.
- Waiver Requirement: All participants must sign a waiver to participate.
This event is dedicated to raising funds for:
- 50% to DIPG (Sofia Maria Ghita): A brave young girl currently fighting DIPG
- 50% to Codruta Trif: An amazing mother of two children fighting breast cancer
We aim to distribute funds transparently and equitably, with the potential to expand our support to broader pediatric cancer causes in future events.
How to Participate
- Register: Choose between the 5K walk/run and the 1-mile fun run, or participate in both
