🎉 Congratulations to Our Math Kangaroo Stars! 🦘✨

This year, our center had the privilege of hosting another Math Kangaroo International Competition, and we couldn’t be prouder of every single student who participated. Whether this was your child’s very first time or their tenth, each participant took on challenging problems, stretched their problem-solving skills, and showed real determination. To all of you — congratulations!

But we also want to take a moment to highlight some exceptional achievements from students in our community:

🌟 Outstanding Performances in 2025

  • 🥇 First Place in State & 13th National (10th Grade Level)
One of our remarkable students, Stefan D. not only secured 1st place in the state but also placed 13 th nationally in Math Kangaroo this year! Through this competition, he discovered not just his love for math but also a special aptitude that has carried him far. His most recent results are:

    • Qualifying for AIME after taking AMC 10A

    • Taking first place at regionals for Sophomores on his school math team

    • Placing 6th at state individually for Sophomores on the math team

    • Competing with the Chicago ARML team, traveling to Iowa for the national meet.

His story is a perfect example of how Math Kangaroo can spark a lifelong passion and open the door to new opportunities.

  • 🥈 Second Place in State & 19th National (12th Grade Level)
Another dedicated student, Dan H. has been competing in Math Kangaroo every year since first grade! Along the way, he also successfully participated in:

Today, he’s continuing his journey as a Math major at our flagship state university — proof that early engagement with competitions like Math Kangaroo can lay the foundation for incredible academic success.

  • 🌟 Sixth Place in State & 21st National (7th Grade Level)
A standout 7th grader from our center, Marc R. also earned 6th place in the state this year!

Marc succesfully began his Math Kangaroo journey right here at ROCO, and over the years his interest in math has only grown stronger.

Always seeking to be challenged, he has already been taking high school–level math courses — a testament to how competitions like Math Kangaroo can inspire students to aim higher and push beyond the standard curriculum.

🦘 Why Parents Should Register Their Kids

Of course, these are shining examples — but every child who participates in Math Kangaroo benefits in meaningful ways:

Confidence that sticks – Kids realize they can tackle tough challenges, one clever step at a time.
Fun disguised as math – Problems feel more like puzzles and riddles than worksheets. (Don’t be surprised if they ask for more math at home.)
Critical thinking skills – These problems go beyond memorization and spark real creative problem-solving.
Global connection – Your child competes alongside students from 70+ countries. Instant bragging rights. 🌍
Opportunities beyond the contest – For many students, Math Kangaroo is the first leap into a world of math competitions like AMC, AIME, ARML, and beyond.

🎓 Let Your Child Take the Leap

Whether your student is just starting out in elementary school or already a budding mathematician in high school, Math Kangaroo is for them. Some kids discover their passion, others build lasting confidence, and all of them walk away better prepared for the future.

So, parents, give your child the chance to hop into math with excitement, puzzles, and maybe even a medal or two. Who knows — your child’s name might be the next one we celebrate here!
