"The Best Child In The World" a Roma story written, staged, and performed by a Roma artist, represents a Roma cultural movement within Romania. The artist, Alina Șerban, is the first Roma director to perform at the National Theatre of Bucharest stage. After facing poverty and losing her parents as a teenager, she finds the power to break the cycle. Serban pursues her dream of studying at the best educational institutes in the world, deconstructing Roma stereotypes through humanity and empathy.

Alina Șerban is the winner of the Best Actress Award at the German Actors Guild Awards 2020 for her leading role in "Gipsy Queen", a nominee for Best Actress of the German Film Awards 2020, and the representative of Romania at The Cannes International Film Festival 2018 for her leading role in "Alone at My Wedding".

An autobiographical performance that awes for its raw emotion in its storytelling, Alina Serban's show impresses audiences of all ages for its ability to invite the audience to share in her story.
